Speech-language consultation

Are you unsure how to start the process?

Does your child have difficulty saying certain words or sounds?

Are you concerned about your child’s ability to communicate effectively?

Is your child struggling academically?

Is your baby or toddler not talking?

A phone consultation is a great place to start.

During a phone consultation, you can:

  • Discuss your primary concern[s]

  • Ask questions

  • Seek guidance on the next steps

Phone Consultations are complimentary and last approximately 5-10 minutes.

A speech/language screening may be recommended to determine if speech therapy services are recommended.

Speech-Language evaluation

I provide comprehensive evaluations to determine areas of strength and areas of improvement in order to devise a customized treatment plan.

Evaluations are available for articulation (pronunciation of words/sounds), language (understanding information and expressing ideas), stuttering and literacy (letter sounds, reading and spelling.)

Evaluations are also conducted to provide a diagnosis.

Evaluations consist of:

  • Parent Interviews

  • Formal Assessments

  • Informal Assessments

Results from the evaluation will be discussed and explained in detail afterwards along with speech therapy recommendations.

If speech therapy is warranted, we can then schedule your speech therapy sessions which range from one to two times a week for 30 minutes.

speech-language therapy

I provide treatment to children of all ages including infants, toddlers, preschoolers and school-age children.

The goal of our Speech and Language therapy sessions is to help your child become a more effective communicator, reader, speller and or/writer.

Treatment sessions are individualized and utilize evidence-based techniques.

Speech Therapy sessions are interactive and customized to best meet your child’s and family’s needs.

Speech therapy sessions are conducted via teletherapy on Zoom.

As a result of COVID-19, a mask is required for in person speech therapy sessions. Teletherapy on Zoom allows speech therapy to be conducted without a mask on.

This enables both the child and speech therapist to see how to make the sounds as well as clearly hear speech productions, which is a vital component necessary for successful speech therapy.
